The Manager of Clinical Excellence will have an opportunity to build programs to enhance the education of our pharmacists and technicians, enabling them to reach more consumers and grow their careers.  This person will lead the efforts for building behavioral health expertise at Genoa.  Additionally, this person will support Genoa growth by sharing our story with pharmacy students and pharmacists.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Refine Intern/Extern program including guidelines and controls to create a talent pipeline
  • Continue to track and add affiliation agreements with pharmacy schools and outreach to Genoa Pharmacies
  • Explore options and benefits of a Genoa Residency program
  • Plan and coordinate Mental Health First Aid training for all Genoa pharmacists; monitor course quality, track and report data
  • Manage training relationship with the National Council for Behavioral Health
  • Partner with Human Capital, Operations, and the UHG Center for Clinical Advancement to create model for capitalizing on BCPP expertise and incentivizing pursuit of board certification
  • Serve as liaison to the UHG Center for Clinician Advancement, manage relationships with CE providers such as P-Letter, and communicate CE opportunities within Genoa
  • Coordinate with Director of Clinical Services on training needs (LAIs, immunizations, etc.)
  • Track requirements/needs for CPhTs in coordination with National Operations; manage Genoa-provided options for CPhT exam prep
  • Explore ASHP accreditation for Straight A’s for Pharmacy Technicians
  • Contribute to Field, Management and Leadership training, including Straight A’s programs and Masters
