ROLE PURPOSE

The Business Manager role is a key function in a busy and growing studio like Rare. It facilitates the running of Rare and feeds in to enabling our strategy and execution. The role adds value to what we do and the games we make. It's a great opportunity for someone to support a busy game studio who make games the world doesn't have!

You are likely analytical, have an interest in business strategy and the bigger picture whilst being comfortable diving into the detail. The focus of the role will be on process, data and financial performance but being able to balance this with agility in order to problem-solve for our studio team.

It's crucial that you are ambitious and self-motivated with a learn-it-all outlook and ambition to facilitate results for the greater good. This role relies on being a strong collaborator, having a drive to help other individuals and teams within Rare and the wider MS Studios team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Partner with studio development teams, Finance, Legal, Biz Dev and HR Partner, facilitating studio operations and compliance.
• Studio Opex forecasting.
• Product performance and revenue forecasting.
• Business analysis on market and product performance, identifying opportunities.
• Manage relationship and agreements with external licensor and partner teams.
• Be a point of contact for questions on studio and MS business process.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience or qualifications in finance, accounting and business administration are beneficial but not necessary.
• A strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis will be useful for this role.
